Type Exploration

For this project, I combined traditional and contemporary fonts to create a new typeface named Foundations. Throughout the design process, I aimed to create a font that embodies a sense of motion and fluidity, which inspired me to bring it to life through animation.

The Cusp

The Cusp is about a lone figure who explores three newly found worlds. The name The Cusp, capitalizes on the moment right before the embarkment of a journey. Inspiration was taken from Caspar David’s The Wanderer Above the Mists in the creation of the poem and composition as the figure-environment trope is vastly embodied within the construction of the composition, shape and colour.

Laser Cut Road Bicycle

The Laser cut Road Bicycle was first created as a fun exploration into 3D design and as a fun way to invite viewers to my website. Since then the project has evolved into further iterations that better utilize the materials and shapes of the bicycle. As the project develops, more styles and iterations of bicycles will be created.

Each Bicycle design comes on a sheet of plywood for easy storage, shipping and building for the user.

Ever wonder what it takes to build your dream bike? Well I was lucky enough to build mine with the help of my good friend Jose Soriano capturing each step of the process in a fun stop motion video!

You can check out more of Jose’s work here!

Run for the Zoo
T-Shirt

Run for the Zoo was a project done for the ABQ BioPark’s 2020 Virtual Run. Due to safety concerns as result of COVID-19, the event was changed to a week long virtual run to help fundraise for the BioPark and fill the void left in the running community. T-shirts we’re given to registrants of the race and 100% of the proceeds went to supporting the BioPark.
